Mount Pleasant Golf Cart Rentals

Perfect for the Old Village, Shem Creek dinners, or a slow loop down Pitt Street. Bring the dog.

Why Mount Pleasant + a golf cart just works.

Our Mount Pleasant fleet is made up of 2022–2025 luxury LSVs. Fully street-legal, equipped with seat belts, headlights, Bluetooth, USB charging, and backup cameras. You can drive at night. You can drive on any road with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less. Parking? Easy.

All carts are electric. Quieter than gas, cheaper to run, gentler on the island. We deliver to your door, hand off the keys, and pick up when you’re done.

★ LOCAL TIP

Coming to Isle of Palms? Carts on our 5–7 day plan get a free welcome kit in summer (cooler, koozies, beach checklist). Just ask at delivery.

Parking around Mount Pleasant

Mount Pleasant has more sprawl than Sullivan’s or IOP, but its older neighborhoods. Old Village, Pitt Street, the streets off Shem Creek. Were laid out before cars got bigger and parking got tighter. A cart fits where SUVs don’t.

★ LOCAL TIP

01

Old Village side streets off Pitt have plenty of cart-friendly spots.

02

Shem Creek restaurants have small lots that fill at dinner. Cart parking is much easier than car parking here.

03

Avoid Highway 17 and Coleman Boulevard during rush. Speeds hit 45+ and there’s no room for carts.

04

Watch for residential-only signs in season. Same enforcement as IOP.

Mount Pleasant cart rules in plain English

Drivers must be 21+ with a valid driver's license.

Standard SC LSV rental requirement.

35-mph roads only.

Most residential streets and the Old Village qualify. Stay off Highway 17 and the faster stretches of Coleman.

Day or night driving is fine.

Our LSVs have full lights, signals, and registration.

You can cross to Sullivan's via Ben Sawyer.

The Ben Sawyer Bridge and connecting roads are cart-legal.

No driving on the beach.

Doesn’t really apply here. But worth knowing if you cart over to Sullivan’s.

Seat belts on every seat.

Three-point belts on every seat in our fleet.

Cart routes locals actually use

Pitt Street loop

≈ 20 min

Cruise Pitt from the bridge down toward the Old Village. Stop at the bridge for the view, grab coffee at the Pitt Street Pharmacy soda fountain, loop back. Classic Mt P.

Shem Creek dinner crawl

≈ 15 min in, 0 min out

Park near Red’s Ice House, work your way down the creek. Tavern & Table, Vickery’s, Saltwater Cowboys. Sunset on the dock is the assignment.

Old Village wander

≈ 30 min, no hurry

Coleman to Whilden, down to Alhambra Hall, loop around the historic streets. Park anywhere a car would. Bring the dog.

Sullivan's via Ben Sawyer

≈ 18 min each way

Cross the Ben Sawyer Bridge to Sullivan’s, hit Middle Street for dinner, come back. The whole route is cart-legal.

Where we deliver in Mount Pleasant

Old Village, Park West, I’On, anywhere with a 35-mph residential vibe. We don’t usually deliver out to the further north suburbs (past Long Point). Text us first if that’s where you are.

The Isle of Palms questions we get most.

Q01

Where do you not deliver in Mt P?

Anywhere on Highway 17 or past Long Point Road. Too far from our base and too car-dominant for the cart to be useful. Text us before booking if you’re not sure.

Q02

Can I cart to Sullivan's or IOP?

Sullivan’s, yes. Ben Sawyer Bridge is cart-legal. IOP from Mt P would require the Connector (45 mph), which is not LSV-legal. We can deliver to either island directly instead.

Q03

Can I take it to Shem Creek?

That’s exactly where most of our Mt P renters end up. Park anywhere a car would. Cart-friendly parking is easier than car parking at dinner.

Q04

Is Coleman Boulevard cart-legal?

Parts of it, yes. The residential stretches near the Old Village are 35 mph. The four-lane sections by Town Centre are not.

Q05

What's the delivery fee?

$80 round-trip to most of Mt P (cheaper than our island deliveries because we’re not crossing a bridge for you).

Q06

Do I need to charge the cart?

Plug it in any time you’re not using it. A full charge gets ~20–25 miles, plenty for a Mt P day. We include a 25–50 ft extension cord.
