Easiest rental ever! The golf cart was great and well maintained. Great communication. We even had an issue at our original rental house and had to switch houses and Zach was great about switching the pickup address for us! Would 110% rent from GolfCartFun again.

GolfCart Fun provided an outstanding rental experience! They delivered a clean, well-maintained, fully charged cart even though I called at the last minute. When I accidentally lost the key at the beach, they responded quickly and brought me a replacement.
Five out of five stars for a full service cart rental company that truly values its customers. Thank you for the fantastic experience and exceptional service!

Top Golf Cart Questions

A Golf Cart LSV (Low Speed Vehicle) is a four-wheeled vehicle that legally hits speeds just above 20 mph but stays below 25 mph. Following South Carolina's code of law 56-2-100, these street-legal carts are equipped with safety features like seatbelts and turn signals and must be registered with the DMV, complete with a license plate.LSV's can be driven on most public roads with posted speed limits of 35 mph or less. We strictly rent out street legal golf cart lsvs so you can drive our vehicles on many more roads than your typical golf cart, and even during the nightime! In order to operate an LSV, a person must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

**Please ensure that you are not staying in Wild Dunes - we can't rent there!**

Additionally, we require a copy of your driver’s license, auto insurance card, and a signed waiver before dropping off.

Please send pictures of these to licensing@golfcart.fun Outside of that all you need is a smile and an appetite for a good time!

Our golf carts are all street legal electric vehicles, so if you're going to be getting a lot of use out of your golf cart, you should be charging regularly. In fact, we recommend to all of our clients to charge it every night!

All of our golf carts come equipped with a battery gauge that tells you how much charge you have available.  For the best golf cart rental experience, we advise that - if you will not be using the golf cart for a couple of hours, plug it in. If it is below 20%, you should return home and charge immediately!

Our fleet primarily consists of lithium battery golf carts, which take about 4 hours to fully charge, as opposed to lead-acid (8-10 hours). Your golf cart rental also comes with a 25-50 ft heavy duty extension cord that plugs into your everyday 3 prong outlet for easy charging.

Yes! Our fleet is all electric with mostly lithium battery golf carts. Lithium battery golf carts take about 4 hours to fully charge, as opposed to lead-acid (8-10 hours). Your golf cart rental also comes with a 25-50 ft heavy duty extension cord that plugs into your everyday 3 prong outlet for easy charging.

Golf Cart Delivery/Pick Up Questions

Yes! We deliver to your door between 7-11 AM on the morning of your rental date. However, many clients don't check in until 4 PM, so if you would like it dropped off when you are not there, we will need a copy of your drivers license, auto insurance card, and a signed waiver.

We include a complimentary extension cord and we will contact you when your golf cart is on the way!

While we do prefer our clients to be there upon delivery, if you are willing to sign our online rental agreement, you don't need to be there!

After you rental has concluded, we will come pick it up that day between 7-11 AM. Due to busy season, we ask that you please charge your vehicle overnight in case your it is going straight to someone else. Please leave the key in the lockbox and the extension cord stored in the second row.

Isle of Palms Golf Cart Rules

The large majority of rental properties allow golf cart lsv rentals. However we are unable to rent to any properties located in Wild Dunes. There are some sections of IOP that only allow gas, or only allow electric, so it's best to contact your rental company to see what they recommend.

Yes! Because our vehicles are street legal, you can venture to and fro Sullivan's Island. Be careful on the roads and comply to standard SCDMV laws (car laws)! Don't forget to pay attention to battery levels before getting too far away from home!

Payment Questions

Yes we require upfront payment for our golf cart rental LSV. During May-August we require a full deposit upon reservation. From September- April we require at least half up front, and collect the rest 30 days outside of your golf cart rental.
