The Deets: The Isle of Palms Connector Run is a 5K and 10K charity race on October 5, 2024, dedicated to preventing child abuse and supporting healing in Charleston, SC. Unfortunately, this annual event is sold out. The race features a scenic route starting in Isle of Palms, crossing into Mount Pleasant,and then ending back in IOP at the beginning of JC Long Blvd. The run includes a post-race festival with live music, beer (21+), kids’ activities, and awards. All proceeds support local nonprofits fighting child abuse, with over $1 million donated over the years. Sponsored by the Isle of Palms Exchange Club, City of Isle of Palms, and Town of Mount Pleasant.

Sea Stroll & Learn

What’s Happening: The City of Isle of Palms Recreation Department will host its second annual Free Sea Stroll & Learn during the second Thursday of every month, May – November 2024. Participants will come together at the 25th Avenue beach access at 7:30 a.m. and partake in a wellness and educational journey. All residents and visitors are welcome!
Firefighter Appreciation Night At Islander 71

The Deets: It’s not everyday that the mayor serves you a drink, but October 10th is that day!! The event features Mayor Phillip Pounds as a guest bartender, a selection of featured beer, wine, and cocktails, live music, free kids’ meals, and firetrucks on-site. Proceeds and tips from featured drinks will support the IOP LENS Foundation benefiting the Isle of Palms Fire Department. Registration is optional, but attendees who register are entered into a lottery for a chance to win a gift card to Islander 71.

IOP Farmers Market
